Business Incubator Class Holds Final Pitch Night

Prairie Ridge Business Incubator students pitched their year-long project of creating business ventures at their final pitch night in May. Six teams went through shark tank style pitches to a panel of judges, competing for a $1000 prize.
1 UP Powerpacks, created by students Caden Jones, Colin Witowski, Lorenzo Massart, Asya Seiwert, and Lily Myers won the competition. 1 UP Powerpacks creates customized nutrition packages for high school athletes competing in high intensity sports.
During the school year, students spent class periods working through the process of creating a company, starting with finding unique ideas and focusing on research to find value in different fields or services. Students also received feedback from teachers and community members with experience in business to obtain real-world feedback that they used to perfect their product and pitch.
