Prairie Ridge opened in 1997. Located approximately 45 miles northwest of Chicago, the school serves Crystal Lake, Prairie Grove, Bull Valley, Burton's Bridge, Oakwood Hills, and Ridgefield.
Prairie Ridge High School consistently ranks among the top high schools nationally and in Illinois, and offers students a comprehensive 9-12 grade education with more than 200 courses to choose from.
In athletics, the Prairie Ridge Wolves compete in the Valley Division of the Fox Valley Conference, offering students the chance to be part of a strong tradition of teamwork and school pride. Beyond sports, students can explore their interests through a vibrant performing and fine arts program; our musicals are community favorites. With more than 40 clubs and activities available, there are plenty of ways for every student to get involved, connect, and make the most of their high school experience.
