Important FAFSA Information

A new state law, designed to broaden access to federal financial aid, requires all high school students in Illinois to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to graduate. Starting with the Class of 2021, students will be obligated to complete the FAFSA or an alternative form (RISE Act Alternative Application) created by the Illinois State Board of Education, though students with extenuating circumstances may complete a waiver.
