The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) named Prairie Ridge High School as a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP). The RAMP designation, awarded for aligning with the criteria in the ASCA National Model, recognizes schools that are committed to delivering a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program and an exemplary educational environment.
A new state law, designed to broaden access to federal financial aid, requires all high school students in Illinois to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to graduate. Starting with the Class of 2021, students will be obligated to complete the FAFSA or an alternative form (RISE Act Alternative Application) created by the Illinois State Board of Education, though students with extenuating circumstances may complete a waiver.
PR Student Services Support Request
PR Student Services will continue to offer our services and support during e-learning. Each period, we have a Student Services staff member available to talk to any student in need of social-emotional support during normal school hours (8-2:50 p.m.). This service is for non-emergency situations only. If a student is actively suicidal or homicidal, the student or anyone with the student should call 911 immediately. And remember, you can always email or call your counselor or social worker to set up an appointment!
Students who wish to process a situation with a Student Services staff member, should fill out the form located on our Student Services website under Social Emotional Support anytime between 8-2:50 p.m. on a regular school day. Once the form is submitted, a staff member will be assigned and will contact you via a Zoom or Google meet invite within 1 business day. If you have any questions, please contact Student Services directly at 815-479-0404 x5110.
