D155 Holds First Healthcare Careers in Under Four Years Panel

District 155 hosted its first Health Careers in Under Four Years panel at Prairie Ridge for all D155 students. Over 100 students across all four schools interested in health careers attended to listen to a panel of health professionals representing careers as an ultrasound technician, respiratory assistant, EMT and several more. All healthcare careers represented in the panel have entry-level positions available after high school or two years of college, providing a unique opportunity for students who want to start working after high school while working in their desired field.
The panel shared stories with students about how they decided to pursue their current professions and the skills needed to perform their jobs. After the panel, students spoke with the professionals and asked any questions or experience they should have to start a career in their role.
