Prairie Ridge senior Isla Browne explored working a career in physical therapy through her micro-internship with Smith Physical Therapy in Crystal Lake.

“In this position, I’ve learned more about the diversity of reasons that people could be coming to physical therapy,” said Isla Browne. “It was really cool to do hands-on things like working with the patients and being able to test out some of the equipment they use.”

Isla learned from physical therapists that serve a variety of age ranges and injuries to learn how they make treatment plans and support patients to get back to the daily activities they enjoy. 

“Working with Isla has been a great experience at our clinic,” said Megan Long, physical therapist at Smith PT. “She was very well prepared and ready to be involved with us and very professional working with our patients.”
